All Year Biker started very low key when owner, Roy Cross, was looking for ways to stop his own bike from being ravaged by rust and corrosion. Riding throughout the year and in all weather conditions was taking its toll on the Bandit 1200S. There had to be a better way of preserving it.

Researching on the Internet found a product called ACF50 which was making some amazing claims about being able to tackle corrosion and keep it at bay. The only way to test those claims was to get hold of some and try it out. The aerosol cans turned out to be a very messy and fairly inefficient way of getting the fluid where it was needed, so Roy turned to the importers and also the manufacturers, Lear Chemicals in Canada, to find a solution. The answer was application by high pressure misting.

It was also obvious that for the fluid to bond effectively the bike had to be clean with no barrier like dirt or wax between the ACF50 and the surface it was protecting. Over the next few months different cleaning techniques, equipment and products were trialed and tested. The goal was to find the most effective way to get a bike cleaned and treated so by early 2008 a system had been developed and All Year Biker was launched.

The business grew with hundreds of bikes booking treatments and word of the results spreading. But there was still an issue. Roy felt that there had to be better cleaning products to do the job. What was available was either derived from car cleaning so not terribly bike friendly, or the few that were designed for bikes, whilst effective, tended to be very aggressive and if not used exactly right could themselves damage a bike's surfaces.

The search began for a chemical company to make cleaning products to All Year Bikers own specifications. Quick, effective, safe and as environmentally friendly as possible. At the same time a new company was formed, Halo Products Ltd., to deal with the funding, branding and marketing of the new Halo Smart product range being developed and to begin the process of franchising the treatment system to broaden it's availability across the UK.

All Year Biker is now the operating arm of the company, carrying out the treatment process through its network of franchise operators. The introduction of their own brand cleaning products, together with the high standards each operator is trained to achieve, results in customers being amazed at the transformation their bikes undergo at the end of the Halo Smart Treatment process.

"When a customer who takes so much pride in his bike that he regularly takes it apart and meticulously cleans it, turns round and says he's gob smacked at how good it looks after just a two hour treatment session by us...well,that says it all about the standards our guys work too and manage to achieve"
Roy

Motorbike owners around the country who are keeping their bikes longer are coming to realise the value of ensuring it's well maintained and looked after.
So a £60 treatment that could save hundreds of pounds when it comes to selling or trading it in. It's a no brainer.

All Year Biker is a subsidiary of Halo Products Ltd.

Jon did a great job on my 1200GS at the weekend. This is the second time the bike has been treated, and the difference in corrosion between mine and my friend's that was not treated is amazing. I would not be without this, and for the work Jon put in it is a bargain.
